Palanquin Function is being continuously performed since The Datta Temple was built (Erected). As The Swamijiwas there, it was performed on every Thursday and Saturday.

The Palanquin Festival is performed (celebrated) on every Pournima (Full moon day) and other festival. Also on the insistence (Request) of the devotees, The Palanquin Festival is celebrated (Performed) on the auspicious days by paying religious fees for it in the office.

Decorated with flowers and garlands, its is brought by Brahmins. After Aarati (Praise and Prayer) it is put down before (In Front of) The Datta Temple. The worshippers (priests). Put the festival idol into the The Palanquin. In acclaim (Cheer) song the Brahmins takes it for revolution. Total there are three revolutions. In each revolution The Palanquin takes a stop at five places. On each stop Ashtake (Poltic eight verses) and devotional songs / Abhangas are recited. Besides walking from one stop to other – Acclaim songs are recited.

The Palanquin arrives at the Audumbar (Big Fig Tree) for the completion of 3/5 (Third revolution and Fifth stop). The Remaining Ashtakas are completed. After the Aarati (Praise/Prayer) of Audumbar Tree. The Festival of idol is taken to the sanctum and the Palanquin is taken to the North direction and placed there.
In this way after the ritual of Aarati (Poetic praise and prayer).

The Palanquin Festival is celebrated at 7.15 P.M. to 9.15 P.M. with great enthusiasm and serene (serenely). The Palanquin Festival ands with Mantrapushpa (Chants after aarati) distribution Tirtha (Holy water of worship) and Prasad.
